The drinking water community is leading the development of security measures
to ensure the protection of public water supplies, treatment, and delivery
in the United States.
The Foundation has taken a prominent role in this effort by developing new
knowledge and practical guidance on a range of critical security issues. It
has fast-tracked research projects, established a funding mechanism for increased
security-related research, and participated in the coordination of a research
