The American Water Works Association (AWWA) is an international nonprofit scientific and educational society dedicated to the improvement of drinking water quality and supply. AWWA advances public health, safety and welfare by uniting the efforts of the full spectrum of the drinking water community. AWWA is defined by six core competencies (advocacy, communications, conferences, education and training, science and technology, and sections), through which they communicate and interact with all of their audiences.
