-
Public and private drinking water utilities
-
Consulting firms that work with water utilities
-
Manufacturers of products used by water utilities
Why join?
A cooperative program in which water suppliers unite to pool their resources
makes good economic sense.
-
By applying Foundation research findings, water suppliers can save substantial
costs in treatment, distribution, monitoring, resources, and management.
-
Foundation has supplied the water community with more than
$370 million in applied research since its inception.
-
Research dollars go even further when leveraged with government funding and
collaborative partnerships coordinated by the Foundation.
-
Even large water suppliers can't afford to fund the research necessary to meet
all the problems confronting the water industry today.

The growing number of new regulations should be based on the best available
science.

As the government drastically reduces its budget and increases regulations, the
potential for passing large costs to water suppliers is enormous. By supporting
research on emerging topics, the water community ensures that new mandates are
based on scientifically credible information specific to utilities.

Research results regularly influence public policies and serve as industry
benchmarks.

Subscribers stay on top of emerging issues in the water industry and invest in
essential drinking water technologies.

What does it cost?
The Foundation's Subscription Program serves as a vehicle by which subscribers
collectively underwrite a centralized research effort.
Voluntary subscription rates paid by water utilities are based on a fair-share
principle: each utility's subscription rate is determined by the volume of
water it delivers annually (millions of gallons). Utility subscriptions provide
most of the funding for the research program.
Consultants and manufacturers in water-related fields may also become
subscribers. Their subscription rates are based on their billings related to
drinking water.
To determine your organization's subscription rate, go to
Subscription Worksheets and download the appropriate worksheet.
Stay ahead of the curve. Become a subscriber today.
The cost to be a Foundation subscriber is minimal compared to the direct
savings realized by applying research findings.
